CHARLIE Finbow, 57, is the recently elected mayor of Westbury, and former drummer in the band Rubber Duck. Mr Finbow, moved to Wiltshire in 1977 to follow his band, but it was his love of the county that has kept him here ever since.
HENRY Leigh, 65, runs the Westbury-based charity Belarussian Ray of Hope, set up three years ago to help youngsters affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
ARTIST Paul Emsley, 59, moved to the UK from South Africa 10 years ago. Although born in Glasgow he grew up in South Africa and taught drawing and painting at the University of Stellenbosch for 12 years.
AVERIL Beresford, of Dursley Road, Trowbridge, has lived in the county town for 28 years. She is a well-known figure in the community and every year dresses up and takes part in the Pancake Day race and St George's Day celebrations, while also helping out at community fairs and local museums.
CHARLES Drew, 54, is chief executive of Melksham-based charity Amber. Since 1995 the charity has helped disadvantaged and unemployed young people get back into work.
HECTOR Cortes, 61, is a retired conductor and author. Born and bred in Gibraltar, he decided to retire in Westbury and has lived in Wiltshire for more than four years.
JAMES Vincent was born and grew up in Wiltshire and until four years ago lived in Bradford on Avon. Mr Vincent studied horticulture at Lackham College and started work at Palmer Gardens, Trowbridge, after gaining his City and Guilds qualifications.
